Travel Instructions: Awakening the Divine June 30 - July 5, 2026

    All retreat participants are responsible for the logistics and expenses associated with travel to and from the retreat center. We offer the following as a guide to support your travel plans. 

    Or HaLev and Garrison staff will NOT be providing/organizing airport shuttles.

  • Retreat start and end times: 

    Tuesday, June 30: 

    You can arrive as early at 2:00 PM. Check in to rooms will be from 2:00-4:00 PM. 

    All participants should arrive by 4:00 PM at the latest.

    Opening program is at 5:00 PM sharp, followed by dinner.

    Sunday, July 5: 

    Our program ends at Noon, followed by a sit down lunch. You should plan to leave the retreat center by 1 PM.

  • 🚂By train:

    Garrison, NY is just over an hour north from Grand Central Station in NYC. Take the Metro North Railroad to the Garrison Train Station via the Hudson Line. 

    Train times vary but generally arrive and depart approximately every hour.

    Traveling from New York City, you should either travel on:

    —Depart Grand Central at 12:35 PM on the Hudson line, arriving to Garrison at 1:52pm.  

    —Depart Grand Central at 1:35 PM on the Hudson line, arriving to Garrison at 2:52pm.

    Shuttle from Garrison Metro North Train Station to Garrison Institute

    Garrison Institute provides complimentary, no-reservation-required shuttle service from the Garrison Train Station during registration check-in hours.

    The Garrison Institute is approximately one mile away from the train station, and there is also a walking path through the woods from the station to the Institute.

    At 1:52 and 2:52, the shuttle will take 7 people at a time up the road to the retreat center, returning until everyone has been driven.

  • ✈️By air: NYC Airports

    Those flying to NYC airports such as LaGuardia, Newark or JFK should carpool with other participants or plan to access the MetroNorth train to the retreat center.

    Some individuals will prefer to take a Lyft/Uber/Taxi from Newark NJ (EWR) airport to Garrison NY (Approximately 75 minutes, $150-200). For domestic flights, plan to land by Noon; 11AM if international. You can use our carpool document to share a taxi with other participants. 

    ✈️By air: Stewart Airport

    The closest airport is Stewart International Airport - New Windsor, New York (off I-84). It is a small airport; most folks flying in for the retreat will get better rates on their flights when flying into a larger airport. 

    Car service from Stewart to Garrison Institute will be around $75-100 per car and 40 minutes. Alternatively, you can take a shorter car ride from Steward to Beacon NY and then take the train south to the Garrison stop.
